Volunteer with the Breteau Foundation!
Written by Serene Lim
At the Breteau Foundation, our work is made possible with the support of our wonderful community of volunteers! Since we launched the volunteer programme in 2020, we have worked with over 75 volunteers who have completed over 1030 hrs of work for us. We are extremely grateful for their enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference to education and the communities we work in – and we’d like to extend the same opportunity to more!
Currently, the Foundation is looking to fill four remote volunteer roles to support our work in the UK, Middle East, USA, Australia and South Africa. We encourage both skilled individuals and students who are looking to develop their experience to read through the current opportunities that we have available! Volunteers will also have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and experience of the non-profit sector and education in those regions whilst working with our fun, talented and engaging global team.
Marketing Coordinator (USA/AUS)
The Volunteer Marketing Coordinator will work closely with our UK Marketing Manager and will be responsible for identifying relevant education networks, NGOs and environmental NGOs in the USA and AUS markets and building a hub of organizations which can promote and distribute the Plastics Project and workshops to primary teachers.
PR, Marketing, and Partnership Specialist (Middle East)
The Volunteer PR & Partnership Specialist will work closely with our UK Marketing Manager and the Lebanon team with building a network of organizations and influential individuals and forming partnerships which can contribute to distributing the Plastic Episode and workshops to primary teachers in Lebanon and the broader Middle East Region, as well as identifying education and environmental NGOs alongside schools in Lebanon and the Middle East region.

Education Coordinator (UK & Global)
The Volunteer Education Coordinator will work closely with our UK and Global Programme Managers to support them with coordinating and supporting our ‘Friends Around the World’ pilot and partnership scoping in the UK, designing and developing engaging presentations, and supporting the UK and Global team with other administrative or research for various education initiatives.

Grants Researcher (UK & Latin America)
This role will be critical for identifying grant and funding opportunities to expand the Foundation’s programmes in the Latin America region. This will be a research based role that will require identifying grant partners and organisations aligned to our mission, vision and strategic goals for Latin America and strategic advice on developing grant applications.
