SEBASTIEN BRETEAU Sebastien Breteau is an entrepreneur, investor and avocado farmer. He is the founder and CEO of QIMA, a solutions provider for global supply chain quality and compliance of consumer goods and food.

Founded in 2005, QIMA partners with 11,000 brands, retailers and importers globally to secure and manage their global supply chain through a unique technology platform. The company has become a leading player, employing over 3,500 people in 35 offices and operating in 85 countries.

In 2013, Sebastien created the Breteau Foundation, a non-profit organisation which aims to provide digital education for children in developing countries. 30,000 children are now enrolled in its program.

Sebastien Breteau is also an active private investor in Europe, China & the US and has invested in over 50 start-ups globally. EMMA BECKER Executive Director Emma is the Foundation’s Executive Director responsible for implementing the Foundation’s strategy and leads our global education program. She guides our technological innovation and ensures the efficient running of the Foundation necessary for success on the ground with learners and teachers. She brings to the Foundation a wealth of experience in education and technology. Emma has previously worked for 6 years as an Education Consultant in a wide range of schools throughout the UK and she is an expert in the strategic, operational and technical implementation of whole school education technology solutions. Previous to this Emma was a teacher for 6 years in secondary schools in Australia and the UK championing the use of technology in the classroom. Emma has a Bachelor of Education and a BA in Geographical Science and English at the University of Queensland. MONA EWEES MKUMATELA Regional Development Manager Mona is passionately driven by her belief that every single child in the world deserves a high-quality education.She is responsible for teacher training and classroom technology implementation in our South African schools. She herself has been a teacher and school principal for the first 14 years of her career working both in the primary school and high school context in the United States and South Africa. Mona holds a Master’s degree in Math and Science Education and United States National Board Certification. NATASHA ABDEL-BAKI Country Manager Natasha is our Country Manager in Lebanon, she is responsible for the implementation of the Breteau Foundation’s digital education programme for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese children in the region, including the management of the Breteau Foundation Mobile Education Bus. Driven by her strong belief that education is fundamental to building strength during human suffering, Natasha passionately joined the response to the Syrian crisis in her home country. Natasha is an experienced teacher, having taught for 8 years both in Lebanon and Qatar. Her classroom experience has provided her with a sound knowledge of Lebanese and international curricula and empowered her to support children from different cultural backgrounds. Natasha holds a Masters in Educational Administration and a Masters in Animal Biology from the Lebanese University. YHIRA IBARGUEN Regional Development Manager As head of Latin America, Yhira is responsible for the planning and monitoring of our regional strategy, securing the successful implementation of BF´s EdTech program.

She shares her passion for knowledge and education as the means to scaffolding social change. Yhira has worked as a teacher for children and adults right before starting her career in national and international NGO’s as a consultant and facilitator of learning environments focused on vulnerable populations.

Yhira holds an MA in Lifelong Learning Policy and Management from the Department of Education of Arhus University in Copenhagen and a BA in Languages and Sociocultural Studies from the University of Los Andes in Bogota. JESSICA VILLA DAVILA Country Manager Jessica is the Country Manager for Colombia, she is in charge of managing the Breteau Foundation’s program in the region. She has worked as a classroom teacher for eight years for the International Baccalaureate (IB) school program. Thanks to her knowledge of the English language she has been able to work in several IB schools in Bogota and other education programs linked to artistic expressions. She has been trained in the use of e-learning strategies for educational purposes guiding her students to learn in a fun way whilst they get familiarized with the school curricula. She studied Literature at the National University of Colombia and has a Masters degree in Contemporary Culture, Art Institutions and Cultural Management. GAELLE BLONDEAU Education Project Manager Gaelle is based in London and her main focus will be working on the production of a children’s film on plastic to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic in our environments and inspire young children to take action against plastic. She will also help the team with her social media and communication expertise as well as developing long term partnerships with key actors partners in the edtech sector. Prior to joining the Breteau Foundation, Gaelle worked as a video strategist for StoryMe, a video production company across Europe. Her role at StoryMe was to develop year-long video strategies for clients by advising them on different types of video content, formats, technologies and platforms. Gaelle has also shot a documentary film and educational tool on social entrepreneurship amongst the youth. A few years ago, she co-founded the GoYoung Project, a social enterprise that disrupts the way youngsters viewed themselves in driving social change. YESENIA ARAGÓN Country Manager Yesenia is the Country Manager for Mexico. She is responsible for implementing the Breteau Foundation's initiatives in the region. Yesenia is alumni of Teach for Mexico, which is part of the Teach for All network. Yesenia has more than seven years of experience working with vulnerable communities: teachers and students. She has excellent experience planning and facilitating learning environments using methodologies such as L1to1, Blended Learning, and Development of Intelligence using Art. She studied International Relationships at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and has a Master's degree in Leadership & Education. Sasha Lisohor Education Country Manager, Ukraine Sasha is a Country Manager for Ukraine. She believes that nothing should stop a child from getting an education, which is the most essential part of personal development and national identification. Sasha has been a teacher both in primary and secondary school in Ukraine which allows her to understand the process of education in the context of war. She holds a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Based in Ukraine, Sasha is responsible for the implementation of the BF response to the war in the country.
