WICASTR is a patented SMART Wireless Platform that facilitates the creation of wireless networks and content distribution everywhere – no IT skills needed. The platform consists of a SMART WiFi Access Point and a digital content delivery mechanism that facilitates localised content distribution, communications and interactions anywhere. WICASTR networks can be completely off the grid, adding a layer of local content and services to any location without requiring the Internet or any Apps. Ideal for locations where connectivity is either expensive, temperamental or simply non-existent. In addition to this local layer, the platform can also provide fast Internet connectivity. They empower businesses to deliver real value to mobile and smart device users, enabling them to receive what they want, when and how they want it.
The WiCastr platform is a game changer in our work as it helps us overcome the barrier posed by the lack of internet in some schools. The platform allows the Breteau Administration team to upload content from TES and other online and offline sources and provide it to the teachers and students. Furthermore, it has an inbuilt capability to track the students’ engagement and learning process.
